California Association President, Ben Frank - To Address MAHA Summer Meeting

Growing your association in a non-traditional market is a challenge by itself. But that wasn't the only challenge that the Wildcats Hockey club faced. Hear Ben Frank, Wildcat Hockey president, describe the game changing moment that took his association from good to great in terms of growth and player development.

Ben grew up playing AAA and Jr.A hockey in Toronto, Ontario, Canada before moving on to play Canadian University Hockey for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues (CIS). Ben moved to California after playing Pro roller hockey that was often hosted in CA as well as playing in 7 World Championships for roller hockey, Including a Silver Medal at the Pan-American Games with Team Canada and three World Championship Gold Medals.

Ben graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Physical Health and Education from the University of Toronto and received The Dean's Student Leadership Award for helping to build and coach a Junior Varsity Men's Ice Hockey Program. Ben went on to attend the University of Windsor for a Master's in Sport Management in 2005 before taking a hockey director job at Anaheim Hockey Club part way through his degree. Ben became president and owner of Wildcats Hockey in 2011 after coaching 2 seasons at the club. Since becoming president of the organization, the Wildcats became a USA Hockey Model Association in 2014.
