More on the tournament, from Minnesota Hockey:

Minnesota Hockey, in conjunction with CCM, the Minnesota Hockey Coaches Association and the Minnesota Girls Hockey Coaches Association, annually hosts one of the top showcase tournaments in the country, the CCM High School National Invitational Tournament (NIT). The tournament features teams comprised of the top high school players across the country including those from Minnesota, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Dakota and Wisconsin.

“Many high school players have the potential to play at the next level after their high school career is over and this tournament will give these young men a chance to showcase their abilities in front of scouts from the NHL, NCAA and junior leagues,” said Mike MacMillan, Executive Director of the Minnesota High School Coaches Association.

The 2019 CCM NIT will be held on April 25-28 at Plymouth Ice Center in Plymouth, MN for the boys and Fogerty Arena in Blaine, MN for the girls. It will be one of the top destinations for junior, college and professional scouts.

Two boys’ teams and two girls’ teams from Minnesota will compete in the tournament. The Minnesota HP 18 and the Minnesota Seniors boys’ team will be comprised of the most outstanding players from the 37th Annual Ted Brill Great 8 Tournament that takes place March 29-31 at Doug Woog Arena in South St. Paul. The Minnesota 18U Girls’ team and Minnesota Seniors will be selected by the Minnesota Girls’ High School Coaches Association.
