Coronavirus and Youth Sports
We know from news accounts how professional and college sports are reacting to the coronavirus pandemic. But what about youth sports, which gathers millions of children and adults at thousands of sites every day? And how should the stakeholders – parents, coaches and leaders – move forward?
The Aspen Institute’s Sports & Society Program is here to help. Today, we created a page dedicated to the topic. It offers guidance from the CDC and experts on how to limit the spread of the virus, and aggregates actions being taken by youth sport providers across the country. We will update the page regularly so you, our Project Play network, has the latest information.
If you are involved with youth sports, please share what you are doing or seeing in your community or organization. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or tag us on our Twitter or Facebook accounts.
Please be safe. We’ll get through this.
