As a result of these challenging times, ensuring girls have the opportunity to build their passion for the game of hockey and grow their leadership skills is more important now than ever. That’s why FlipGive is thrilled to announce that we’ve teamed up again with hockey legend Cammi Granato to help inspire the next generation of female athletes with the Cammi Granato Girls Hockey Grant.
We’ll be donating $500 grants to 50+ young girls between the ages of 4-18 who otherwise might not have the chance to lace up their skates this season.
By submitting your application, you’ll enter your association for a chance to win an additional equipment grant. To match the number on Cammi’s jersey, we’re giving away 21 equipment sets in the US and another 21 in Canada, generously provided by Pure Hockey and Bauer (an approximate $300 value), so that you can help another player in your community get geared up this season.
“Growing up in a busy household of six kids, the cost of the sport with both registrations and equipment fees was always a challenge for my family,” said Cammi Granato. “It’s more important than ever that we help encourage girls to develop a passion for the game at a young age, and that starts with getting out onto the ice and letting them fall in love with the sport.”
In 2020, we received hundreds of inspirational applications from young players across the United States and are thrilled to open up the program to now include girls in Canada this year. Click here to learn more about past grant recipients.
