MAHA Remembers Mark Clements (1955-2022)

Mark Patrick Clements passed away due to stroke complications early morning Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Covenant Hospital at the age of 66.

Mark was born in Bay City on September 17, 1955, to the late Bob and Betty (Ellery) Clements. He graduated from John Glenn High School, class of 1973. Mark worked for Fogelsonger Vault and later joined Consumers Energy in November of 1978 starting on the Travel Repair Crew (TRC) and eventually moved to the Karn-Weadock Plant, retiring June 1, 2021, after 43 years of service, where he was a member of the UWUA Local 144.

Mark was a member of Kawkawlin Community Church and served on the Board of Trustees. He was also involved with coaching youth hockey at the Bay County Civic Arena, as well as serving as President of the Bay County Hockey Association and played goalie on the Wednesday Old Time Hockey League. He served as a Director for Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA). He continued with hockey, volunteering for the Saginaw Spirit hockey club.

Mark was a member of Moose Lodge #169 serving on the Board. He also enjoyed playing Tuesday evening music trivia as well as BTR dinner get-togethers. Left to cherish Mark, is his wife of 42 years, Teri and their children Megan (Kory) Hickmott and son Michael Clements; grandson Terrin Hickmott as well as special great niece, Ivy Clements; his siblings: Cindi (Jim) Skop; Cathy (Ron) Jankoska; Dave (Sally); Tom (Tami) and Kevin Clements as well as many nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.
