Attention Coaches! If any of you are interested in getting a USA Hockey Goaltending Bronze Certification, we have four National (virtual) Courses available to sign up for!
The Goaltending Bronze Certification is for ALL coaches who want to ensure they are fostering the best development environment for their goalies. Our focus in Goalie Nation is to try to get one Bronze-Level Certified coach on every staff to ensure our goaltenders are getting the best development possible.
After taking a Bronze, if you want to further your goaltending knowledge, USA Hockey offers one Goaltending Silver Certification Course annually. You have to wait until the following year you receive your Bronze to register for a Silver.
The Bronze course is part of the continuing education program so you can use it for continuing education credit. To sign up go to https://www.usahockey.com/coachingclinics and register!
The Bronze Clinics are on the following dates and times:
Monday, September 26 and Wednesday, September 28 (8p-11p)
Tuesday, October 11 and Thursday, October 13 (6p-9p)
Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20 (10a-1p)
Tuesday, December 6 and Thursday, December 8 (11a-2p)

Silver Details: THIS IS A HYBRID COURSE AND REQUIRES ZOOM AND IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE.
The Silver level course is the second step in the goalie coach developer track. This course is a hybrid event that contains 3 monthly zoom calls along with a capstone weekend of in-person training. Training topics include; building goalie season training plans, creating healthy learning environments for your goalies, evaluating your goaltenders, goaltending mental skills, off-ice goaltending development, and more. This year we will be partnering with the Boston Bruins for our event and will be attending a Bruins game along with learning from their goaltending coaches and goalies. Below are the dates and attendance at all zoom calls and in person events is required for completion credit of the course:
Thursday, September 29 - Zoom Class 1 4-630pm MT
Wednesday, October 19 - Zoom Class 2 4-630pm MT
Tuesday, November 15 - Zoom Class 3 4-630pm MT
Boston Bruins Event
Friday, December 16 - Sunday, December 18, 2022
The event will start at 12pm on Friday 12/16 at the Warrior Ice Arena (Bruins practice rink) and the classroom sections of the weekend will be held at the Boston Marriott Newton Hotel. Weekend event will end at noon on 12/18. More information about tickets to the Bruins game that weekend and hotel rates will be provided on the first zoom session on 9/29. (Coaching equipment will be required in Boston as on ice training will be a component of the course. )
