The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) recognized Tony Posey as the 2023 Earl G. Piper Award winner, for Michigan's Coach of the Year, at Saturday night's MAHA Awards Banquet. 

Tony has been a pivotal member of the Grand Traverse Hockey Association Girls Hockey program for many years. Well-respected by GTHA administration, coaches, players and parents, Tony has found the perfect balance of dedication, discipline, and passion to instill in his players each year. His consistent approach helped lead the GTHA 14u Tier 3 team to a State Championship in 2022-23. 

The Earl G. Piper Award recognizes an individual who contributes significantly to the development of youth players, while exemplifying and teaching the character skills to players to live life as a contributing member of society.
