The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association presented long-time volunteer Doug Diroff with the William Kellogg Memorial Award at the 2023 MAHA Awards Banquet. 

A former Ice Hawks coach and significant contributor to the foundation of the Monroe Hockey Association, Diroff spent many years as a member of MAHA's District Council before eventually becoming District 2 Chairperson. Diroff has made significant contributions to various MAHA initiatives, including review / edits of rules and bylaws, Tier I Residency Application review, as well as his current role as VP of the Adult Committee.

Mr. Kellogg was a former outstanding MAHA officer from Port Huron. The Kellogg family has donated a memorial plaque to be given to a member of the Board of Directors for outstanding achievement and dedication to amateur hockey. Each year, the members of the Board of Directors vote for whom they wish to merit this honor.
