The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association and USA Hockey recognize the leadership contributions of Billy Barrett (Garden City, MI) and Kevin Yohe (Ishpeming, MI) with USA Hockey New Leader Awards at the 2023 MAHA Awards Banquet.

Barrett serves as President of the Garden City Hockey Association, while Yohe serves as a Board member for the Iron Range Hockey Association as well as a District 8 Director.

USA Hockey's New Leader Award is intended to recognize and motivate young energetic talent to work within an affiliate to grow and improve hockey. It is awarded for contributions in growing or improving hockey within the affiliate, or for being a very positive person in performing affiliate activities.
