The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association wishes to congratulate on-ice official Scott Guidebeck on receiving the Lowell McCoy Award, as Michigan's Referee of the Year, at this weekend's 2023 MAHA Awards Banquet. 

With so much focus on the critical importance of referees in our game, it's important to acknowledge the individuals who best exemplify the position. Guidebeck's commitment to the role is evident in his consistency, and his passion accompanies him to the rink every day. New and upcoming officials have an ambassador they can model their own craft after in Scott Guidebeck. 

The Lowell McCoy Award recognizes a referee who has contributed significantly to the development of young officials and excellence in his/her role as a referee.
