The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) is proud to introduce Josh Deneau as the new Disabled Hockey Director for Michigan. His previous playing experience includes years with the Michigan Ice Hawks, the Mt. Clemens Wolves, and the Big Boy JV Prep programs.

Deneau will focus on building awareness of Disabled Hockey in Michigan, in an effort to achieve growth in existing organizations as well as develop new teams. This will include community outreach efforts, establishing budgets to support growth initiatives, as well as ensuring compliance of any MAHA or USA Hockey Bylaws, Rules and Regulations affecting the Disabled disciplines. In addition, Deneau will represent Michigan to the USA Hockey Disabled Section.

“What drew me to the position was my desire to grow the sport of hockey, and to make sure everyone understands that hockey has no limits,” Deneau stated.

Deneau proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He currently resides in Warren, MI and works for Central Transport.
