As the Official Health Care Sponsor of the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA), Henry Ford Health is proud to collaborate with MAHA on launching the "Hockey Health & Wellness" platform featuring 'Dr. Hockey' T. Sean Lynch.

Dr. Lynch is a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon at Henry Ford Health who specializes in treating hockey players of all ages, from the beginning of a player’s hockey career all the way up to treating the Team USA Men’s Hockey team in Russia and Finland. He has been playing hockey since he was six years old, and his passion for the sport has helped him to understand how to treat the needs of a hockey player so they can get to the highest levels of play.

Dr. Lynch has experience from many perspectives within the hockey community – as a player, parent, and physician. He understands the concerns from each side and truly believes in collaborating with his patients to help them reach their potential. Dr. Lynch specializes in nonoperative and operative treatment of hip and knee disorders in athletes of all levels and he is an expert in hip surgery and knee ligament reconstruction.

Dr. Lynch credits much of who he is today to his involvement with the sport and the opportunities it has provided him to learn life skills. He looks forward to working with more athletes to help them heal, condition and optimize their performance.
