MAHA considers the monitoring of Locker Rooms a Critical Responsibility of Adults in providing a safe environment for our players. Many incidents of unsuitable behavior in the past could have been prevented if a locker room monitor was in place as required.
Local Hockey Programs must have at least one (MAHA Recommends Two) responsible adult(s) monitoring the locker room during all team events to assure that only participants (coaches and players), approved team personnel and family members are permitted in the locker room, and to supervise locker room conduct. Failure to follow this policy can now lead to disciplinary actions against both the head coach of the team and the local association. To read the complete policy click here.
