Chris Snyder is the director of coaching education for the United States Olympic Committee. His responsibilities include discovering and providing resources to enhance sport culture, help develop top coaches in the high performance pipeline and aid the coaching programs of the National Governing Bodies that service sport in the United States.
During the Keynote Address at the summer meeting, Mr. Snyder provided an overview of Aspen Institute’s Project Play. Project Play, seeks to reverse the trend of declining physical literacy and team sport participation, providing a once-in-a generation opportunity to reimagine sports in America with health and inclusion as core values.
Mr. Snyder also addressed what other National Governing Bodies like USA Hockey are doing to promote age appropriate development to make sports fun and engaging for young players just getting started in a sport.
