MIte High Performance Development Program Announced by MAHA

The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association, in conjunction with USA Hockey’s American Development Model will be offering a High Performance Mite Development Program at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth this season.

Participants for this special six-week program will be selected from 8U Mite teams from associations across Michigan.

Directed by USA Hockey and MAHA staff, practices will be focused on providing a High Performance level training experience to challenge players and provide the proper foundation for developing elite players.

Fall Session
Saturday training at 6:10 p.m.* on November 7th; 14th; 21st; December 5th; 12th; 19th
(*Note November 21st and December 5th practices begin at 4:30 p.m. due to USA NTDP Team Game that evening)

Sunday training at 3:00 p.m. on November 8th; 15th; 22nd; December 6th; 13th; 20th

Winter Session
Saturday training at 6:10 p.m. on January 9th; 16h; 23rd; 30th; February 6th; 20th;  

Sunday training at 3:00 p.m. on January 10th; 17th; 24th; 31st; February 7th; 21st;

Participant Selection:

  • Each association will be able to nominate 2 players and a provisional player per session.
  • Association can nominate the same or different players for each session. 
  • 48 players will be selected for each training day per session (96 players total per session)
  • Cost: $59 per player session
  • USA Hockey High Performance Mite Development Program Jersey is provided to each participant
