MAHA is please to announce dates and a location for the inaugural Mite half-ice State Championship. The event will be held March 5 – 6 at the Troy Sports Center, and will be hosted by the Troy Youth Hockey Association.  Troy is no stranger to hosting big events. They hosted the Tier 2 18U National Championships last season.  “We expect between 50 and 75 teams to participate this season” sad Kim Durka Executive Vice – President. “We expect to have all 4 rinks at Troy hopping all day Saturday. It should be a blast for the kids”. MAHA is still in the planning phase for the event and expects to have some other exciting announcements soon that will enhance the event and be fun for the kids.

Teams will be able to enter in one of three skill divisions. It is up to the Associations to properly assign players to teams according to their skill set.

• Red, White and Blue Divisions:
  • Red Division: 2007 Birth Year Advanced Skill Players and/or Very Advanced 2008 Birth Year Players
  • White Division: 2008 Birth Year Advanced Skill Players and/or Intermediate Skill 2007 Birth Year Players
  • Blue Division: Mixed 2007 and 2008 Birth Year Players of Intermediate Skill level or Newer Players to the Game.
