Back in 2017, Lakeview Arena in Marquette was named Kraft Hockeyville USA after winning multiple rounds of fan voting online. With the victory, the arena hosted a NHL preseason game between the Buffalo Sabres and the Carolina Hurricanes and received $150,000 to use for the facility and its hockey programs.

This year, let’s bring the ‘Hockeyville’ title back to the State of Michigan.

The Kraft Hockeyville competition is back for 2019 and nominations are now open.

Rinks, associations and passionate patrons across the country can apply to become the next Kraft Hockeyville. The winning city will host a NHL preseason game and win $150,000 in arena upgrades. Communities are encouraged to share unique stories about their passion for hockey and why they should be named Hockeyville in their nominations, which run until March 2, 2019. Nomination entries can be completed at KraftHockeyville.com.

The four finalists will be named on March 24 once the nomination period has ended.

From March 30-31, the public will then vote for one of the four remaining communities to crown the grand prize winner, which will also be announced on March 31.

One community will emerge as Kraft Hockeyville USA 2019; first place/runner-up will receive $30,000 toward arena upgrades, while two second-place winners will each receive $10,000 for rink upgrades.
