The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) is proud to open the application process for the MAHA Player Scholarship Fund for the 2023 – 2024 season.

Each year, the MAHA will grant a one-time scholarship award (up to $500) to members facing a temporary financial hardship.

In the 2023 -2024 season MAHA awarded over $27,000 in scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria for eligibility:

• Must be registered with a MAHA affiliated In-House (Tier III) program for the 2024-25season
• Must complete a minimum of four (4) hours of volunteer service for local association
• Application must include a letter of confirmation from local association for completion of service

About the Scholarships 

All scholarships are one-time awards, based on availability of funds, applied directly to association dues (not redeemable for cash). It is recommended by the MAHA Board of Directors that no single Association or Club be awarded more than 15% of the total fund.

All award decisions are at the discretion of the MAHA Player Scholarship Fund Committee.
