TROY, MI – August 13, 2025 – The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) will launch its 2025-26 season with the annual MAHA Tier I Showcase, held at Buffalo Wild Wings Arena in Troy, MI on September 5-7, 2025.

The September season kickoff event highlights National-bound teams (14U – 18U) from all of Michigan’s Tier I (AAA) organizations. Teams from each age division will compete in a three-game schedule over the course of the weekend, occupying all rinks at Buffalo Wild Wings Arena.

“I think this event has become a source of pride for MAHA,” explains MAHA President Tom Berry. “This is the sixth year holding this event at the beginning of the season, and every year the event gets better. There’s plenty of passion and pride displayed on the ice by the players, and that’s what scouts and spectators tune in to see. But I’m also proud of how this event has grown over the years – the technology, on-site activation, and even adding a second event in December.”

Originally launched in 2019, the MAHA Tier I Showcase returns to Buffalo Wild Wings Arena for a sixth consecutive season. Based on the popularity of the event, a second MAHA Tier I Showcase has been slated for December 5-7, 2025.

“For me, the Tier I Showcase in September signifies the start of a new season,” stated Jason Reynolds, MAHA Director of Operations & Marketing. “Whether you’re watching the games live at the rink, or you’re streaming online at the home or office, this is a really exciting weekend of hockey to take in. The top talent from across Michigan are represented in this event, and that will capture the attention of a lot of coaches and scouts from college and junior programs across the country. It’s a great exposure opportunity for these players.”

Games will be streamed online by MiHockey.TV – single game and full showcase packages will be made available for live streaming.
