ABOUT MICHIGAN AMATEUR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA), an affiliate of USA Hockey, is the premier amateur sports organization in Michigan which develops players in the sport of ice hockey to the best of their ability in a fun and safe environment.
The MAHA's vision is to be the best amateur ice hockey association nationally for lifelong player fun, physical and personal development and player safety. From the Board to the ice, MAHA will promote:

Try Hockey For Free! As the world's largest introduction-to-hockey initiative, annually spanning over 800 rinks nationwide, Try Hockey For Free Days provide children the opportunity to experience playing hockey for the first time with certified USA Hockey coaches and caring volunteers on the ice.
Learn to Skate USA Learn to Skate USA teaches your kids lessons to sharpen their focus and provide greater balance on and off the ice.
NHL Learn to Play Learn To Play can help your child learn and grow in all aspects of life. Playing hockey helps improve children's physical fitness while strengthening their mental health, encouraging leadership behaviors, fostering character development, and teaching important life lessons.

To register your athlete for the 2022-23 season, follow these simple steps:
STEP 1: Register with USA Hockey for the 2022-23 season.
STEP 2: Find your local association below and register on its website.
ABOUT OUR ASSOCIATIONS
Below you will find a list of sanctioned local hockey associations. These programs provide a fun and safe environment where players can learn and enjoy the sport of Ice Hockey.
Youth programs provide a development path for players, supported by USA Hockey and its American Development Model. Only USA Hockey and MAHA-sanctioned programs have this available to them. Coaches in these organization go through a required coaching certification program, are also background checked, and required to take Safe Sport training, all to make sure youth players are provided with good instruction in a safe environment. No other hockey organization provides this level of training and support.
